Psychological Services and
Treatment for Adults in NZ
Welcome to a sanctuary of holistic wellness, healing, and growth where I provide psychological services for adults in-person in Whakatāne in the Bay of Plenty region and online throughout New Zealand. I offer specialized psychological treatment, guided by values of safety, connection, non-judgment, and compassion.
I am trained in a range of therapeutic modalities and using my authentic, intuitive, and compassionate approach, I work in a client-centred and eclectic way, meaning I choose what combination of therapy tools to use to best match each unique client I am working with.
My heart-led intention is to Connect and attune with my clients, helping them feel safe and understood, validated, seen, heard, felt, and supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. In this context, regulation and healing occurs.
Working from Durie’s Te Whare Tapa Whā model of health and wellbeing, I have an understanding and respect for the interconnectedness of the emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects that impact on our overall health and wellbeing. I tailor my approach to promote overall wellness.
The talking therapy I do is mainly informed by:
Neuroscience and Neuropsychoanalysis
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Compassionate Inquiry
Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness
Art Therapy
The bodywork I do is mainly informed by:
Nervous System Regulation, particularly Polyvagal Theory
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
Breathwork
Sensory Integration
Body Alignment Therapy
Usui Reiki Energy Healing
Somatic Experiencing
EFT Tapping
Yoga

Breathwork
During my Psychological Treatment sessions with adults, I will use talking therapy, and bodywork at times to facilitate Holistic Wellness. I work in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed way.
Our therapeutic sessions take place in a space thoughtfully designed to nourish the nervous system and bring peace.
I accept self-referrals, as well as referrals from GPs, Healthcare and Wellness Practitioners,
Te Whatu Ora (DHB), Ministry of Social Development, ACC, and other agencies and organisations.
Carer Support funding can be used to fund therapy too. The client is responsible for paying MindBody Connect for the service and claiming back Carer Support funding support.
Please note, I do not work with clients that are suicidal or at risk to others, as well as clients with eating disorders or active substance abuse.
