Psychological Support
As an Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) Psychologist based in Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty my primary focus is on your psychological wellbeing in the aftermath of accidents or injuries.
I understand that the journey to recovery goes beyond physical healing; it encompasses your mental resilience as well. My role is to provide you with comprehensive psychological support, helping you address the emotional impacts that accidents can bring, such as anxiety, stress, trauma, and adjustment difficulties.
Please note that I do not hold the Sensitive Claims contract with ACC.
Holistic Psychological Treatment
Holistic Healing: I believe in treating the person as a whole, not just the injury. Working from Durie’s Te Whare Tapa Whā model of health and wellbeing, I have an understanding and respect for the interconnectedness of the emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects that impact on our overall health and wellbeing. I tailor my approach to promote overall wellness.
Specialised Expertise: As an ACC-approved psychologist, I bring specialized knowledge and skills to the treatment room. My experience allows me to effectively assess, diagnose, and provide interventions for your unique psychological needs.
Supportive Environment: Your wellbeing is my priority. In a safe, non-judgmental space, we work collaboratively to help you overcome challenges and foster emotional growth.
Personalized Care: No two individuals are the same, and your journey to recovery is uniquely yours. I develop customized treatment plans that align with your goals and aspirations.
Empowerment Through Resilience: Together, we focus on building resilience and coping strategies, empowering you to face challenges and emerge stronger from adversity.
